Sea Changes Getting Noticed

Talk about Deja Vu! I returned to a scene from Peggy Finds A Friend this weekend when I went to a Washington Nationals game at RFK Stadium in D.C. In fact, I sat in the same seat as last summer when I blogged the episode in which Raoul gets thrown out of the game for pestering the Homeland Security boss. This time around, though, the Nats won!

My reason for being in the seat of government was to attend Book Expo America. What a zoo. I thought I was the only person in America with a new book out; boy was I wrong. I had trouble find somebody who didn't have a new book out. On the positive side, I connected with lots of people interested in Sea Changes and how it grew out of Peggy Finds A Friend. I had a booth for 90 minutes on Saturday and during that time I showed pictures from the blog and gave away flyers and books and dark chocolate almonds. The almonds were a hit.

One valuable thing I confirmed is that Sea Changes is really in the two big wholesale databases: Ingram and Baker & Taylor. That means you can walk into just about any bookstore or library and request a copy of Sea Changes. It will be placed on back order until the first printing rolls off the presses sometime in June. Be the first on your block to get a copy! Reserve yours today. (Thanks.)

Finally, I received an amazing review of Sea Changes from ForeWord Clarion reviews. You can read it HERE . (Hot news: ForeWord Magazine is planning to feature Sea Changes as a June "beach read" selection. I'll let you know more about that later.)

Hope everyone is enjoying the remaining days of spring.
